2013 Chrysler 200 Build

We began the modification of this 2013 Chrysler 200 Touring Sedan in the spring of 2020. We are now just catching up on this blog. We started with modifying the lights a bit. We tapped into the dome light circuit and added waterproof red LED strips under the dash and seats as curtesy lights.

After that we removed the incandescent light in the shifter area and replaced it with a red 6 LED strip. This lights the shifter designators red. As time goes on we will modify the rest of the LED lights in the dash and consul are to red. This will be a task however because these are surface mounted LEDs (SMLED) and as such requires de-soldering and re-soldering each of the existing SMLEDs

Our first attempt will be with the printed circuit board (PCB) of the center console clock.

July 2020, saw us disassembling the dash and center console basils, covers and trim pieces and replacing with once that match the exterior paint. See photos.
